DJ Ötzi, also known as DJ Ötzi Junior and Anton ft. DJ Ötzi, is Austria's biggest pop star. His real name is Gerhard Friedle: the name DJ Ötzi comes from the town of Ötz where he was born. DJ Ötzi began his career with Das Album, which was released under the name Anton ft. DJ Ötzi. Das Album took DJ Ötzi straight to number 1 in the Austrian album charts and number 7 in Germany.
